Kat Coiro is a filmmaker, director and producer. In 2022, she directed the film “Marry Me” for Universal Pictures starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson, bringing national attention to How’s “Lights, Camera, Plastic?” campaign on set by removing all single-use plastic from every scene. Coiro has worked on many episodic shows, including She-Hulk, Attorney at Law, Dead To Me, Modern Family, Shameless and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Coiro trained in theater at Moscow Arts Theater in Russia, Carnegie Mellon University, and as a fellow in the MFA program at AFI. She has three children with her husband Actor Rhys Coiro, best known for Entourage. She is a Board member of Habits of Waste and has been instrumental in building our #LightsCameraPlastic movement by promoting reusables on screen instead of disposables.

The Philadephia duo consisting of record producer Jeremy Lloyd and singer Samantha Gongol released their breakthrough single, “DOWN”, which was adopted by APPLE and soon after went Platinum. Samantha and Jeremy are longtime supporters of Habits of Waste and are thrilled to be a part of this evening.
