STRAWS – Beverly Hills
September 27, 2018Crayon Collection hosted a screening of the film “STRAWS” with the City of Beverly Hills at the Municipal Gallery in Beverly Hills City Hall on September 2, 2018.
The event was shared with members of the Beverly Hills Community, The Plastic Pollution Coalition, The Final Straw, the City of Malibu, Crayon Collection Supporters, UCLA, and more. Members of the Santa Monica Community College Club “Plastic Free SMC” volunteered at the event by greeting guests and explaining the environmental efforts of Crayon Collection in changing Habits of Waste.
The evening began at 6 pm with vegan MotherTrucker Burgers and SuperFood Salad Bowls from The Green Truck. Attendees signed in and gathered around to have conversation about conservation. The “STRAWS” Screening commenced in the Municipal Gallery at 7 pm. In attendance was “STRAWS” Film Executive Producer and Ambassador of Plastic Pollution Coalition Andrea Arria-Devoe
At 8 pm Andrea was then a featured Panelist along with other environmental and government specialists in the STRAWS Panel led by Habits of Waste Founder, Sheila Morovati. The evening’s efforts were a big push to ban plastic straws and cutlery in the City of Beverly Hills.
