USC Annenberg and the Plastic Pollution Coalition just released a study proving the need for less single-use plastic on screen. The report includes an analysis of 64 episodes of 32 popular television shows.

They found over 2,000 instances of single-use items being used on screen. Not one of those items was shown being recycled.

This was just one of the many startling findings of the report. Thank you to USC Annenberg Norman Lear Center Media Impact Project and the Plastic Pollution Coalition for helping to shine a light on the persistant normalization of single-use waste in the media.

Hollywood needs to act NOW and reduce the amount of single-use plastic they display on screen.
