World Economic Forum & Habits of Waste

Today, we participated in the World Economic Forum, Shaping the Future of Consumption as part of the "New Disruptors of Nutrition". Our #8meals campaign is disrupting nutrition with the help of our new app.

We were thrilled to learn so much from the incredible attendees and share our work here at Habits of Waste. We believe that joining forces with the World Economic Forum is an opportunity that will propel our movement forward and help so many people enter a partially plant-based lifestyle successfully.

Huge thanks to the WEF for including us and huge thanks to our incredible Advisory Board Member, Dr. Ed Walker, for being such an exceptional presenter. (Dr. Walker is the Professor, Vice-Chair, and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Sociology at UCLA. Click here to see an interview with our founder on social movements.)

Calling all Employers! Try #8meals with your team!
Studies show that it is important to invest in health programs for a happier and healthier team! Join the #8meals challenge with your staff and help everyone get on board with a partially plant-based lifestyle.

For those who are trying to adopt a plant-based diet yet are still not sure where to begin, we have the answer for you. Among many functionalities, our #8meals app allows users to track the number of plant-based meals consumed per week, track their carbon offset per week and cumulatively, plan meals in their calendars along with reminders, and share on social media to spread the movement. The goal is to help individuals be successful at adopting a more plant-based lifestyle while having fun!

The app is now available for free download in the App Store and on Google Play . Learn more at habitsofwaste.org.

The future is plant-based and we are leading the way with a solution to help people take action.
PLEASE SHARE! Let's help all those people out there who want to give plant-based eating a try.  The app is now available for free download in the App Store and on Google Play .
